Beautiful views of lakes and cliffs.

Apache Trail to Roosevelt Dam [CLOSED] is a 61.8 kilometer moderately trafficked point-to-point trail located near Apache Junction, Arizona that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. I did the entire loop starting on 87 from Mesa to 88 at Apache Junction once and just loved it. The starting point on this review is kinda random. So much beauty, especially around Apache Lake.Short cut from Apache junction to the dam.

Back to Roosevelt Dam...gets you from point A to point B. cool with regards to views of the lakes and the canyons, but the road is too narrow at many places for the amount of traffic there is.nice leisure drive, only real concern are people towing boats trying to get to apache lake...they seem to like to fly around corners in the middle of the road. I'm sure the road itself is pretty much the same. Some good lakes to check out on the way. This is a very scenic drive. Some bumps and washboarding, but nothing particularly precarious.

A drive on the Apache Trail is one of the most scenic drives near the Phoenix area. Great boating on all the lakes through here too.Still Closed! The canyon walls are beautiful, the lakes so blue and picturesque. Tellement de belles photos! The views of the wash between the Dam and Apache Lake are spectacular.Road closed at the tortilla flats.it was vary beautiful, but it is a really easy hike. This is a desert drive, so there's not much in the way of shady spots. You can make a loop out of the trip and come back though Globe /Miami area and return to the city on US 60. On a croisé des cyclistes et l’état de la route est parfait pour eux. Wildfires have burned more than 224,500 acres and there is ongoing, extreme fire danger due to dry conditions and hot temperatures.CLOSED until further notice. We spoke with a ranger today and it's closed right after Tortilla Flats from the Phoenix side. The road is well maintained, moderately traveled and filled with so many variations of scenery, its awesome. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.

We came in from the north and at about 14 miles in, saw the Road closed sign and the concrete barriers! It passes Canyon Lake, Apache Lake, and ends at Lake Roosevelt. Food is also available at Canyon Lake and Apache Lake. So many recreational and camping opportunities. I didn't realize there are so many lakes on that route: Roosevelt, Apache, Canyon and Saguaro Lakes are all so close.
