Well, you can imagine how great the fishing is… There are tons of rainbow, cutthroats, brook, brown and golden trout; it’s Trout City! The Obsidian Dome is made up of volcanic glass around June Lake. There's no tree coverage in this area, but that allows for unobstructed views of the mountains and lake. The lakes are small, so you can see many, if not all of them in one day!
Boulderers can explore the Mammoth Lakes and the Bishop Areas for climbs like Jedi Mind Tricks (V4), and Seven Spanish Angels (V6).Thanks to the abundant snowfall, cross country skiers have plenty to explore, especially in the Mammoth Lakes area. None of the campsites have hookups.Convict Creek flows through the campground and there are also shrubs, aspen and cottonwood trees growing along the creek. The campground also as ADA restrooms. Campers at Every effort is made to provide accurate and up to date information, but we cannot be responsible Epic views of Convict Lake from this campground. Very helpful! DATES WE TRIED ON YOUR WEBSITE ARE APRIL 29,2019 TO MAY 2,2019. Dump station is located along Convict Lake Road, 1/4 mile from campground. Convict is a no-wake lake, permitting electric motors only of 6 HP or less and limiting speeds to 10 MPH or less. IT WAS A WASTE OF TIME. We'd love to hear about your adventure. No?

The lakes are small, so you can see many, if not all of them in one day!
The sites are a little close together but with vegetation around, it feels a little more private. You also have access to the Convict Lake Backcountry if you really want to push it, or spend a few days backpacking. Most of the routes are double track and there are 50 miles of single track and ATV trails.
