It sort of defeats the purpose, doesn't it?Unfortunately this is not an available feature at the moment. The digital receipts are not customizable aside from what can be changed in your Receipts section of your Square Dashboard. I had a client contact me today and say that they were unable to see the items listed on the receipt that was emailed to them. I just want to buy a grilled cheese sandwich, eat it by the side of the road, and never think about it again. Which is my point.

What a pain.This is not the only area where SquareUp needs some serious improvements...*when in Appointments if I want to add a note (for my receptionist, for example - it's a new patient and they need to know that he/she will need to fill some forms prior to the appointment) - why doesn't it show up in the calendar?
Thought work around would be to ring up as invoice, print invoice and complete payment through pay invoice.
Select the desired email message you want to print. Instead of mailing it you email it. I'd hate to have to give up the use of Square because I can't easily send a receipt in PDF format.
Not to mention the extra time they have to spend at the counter watching us jump through hoops because our payment processor will not allow us to give them an invoice marked as paid unless we provide them our customers' email addresses for reasons still not made clear.That's interesting feedback about invoices.
