Great Views of the City Although a short walk from the city centre the Noble Rot is well worth a visit if not for the magnificent views of Portland's skyline.

You can eat and drink, expensively or cheaply, with equal ease. Reminiscent of a Toorak wine bar, this bustling and noisy place fits the bill.
Space created for us at the bar post dinner. Tasty but smallish portioned food is terrific, and the wine selection is truly for the seasoned connoisseur. We did the ‘Feed Me’ dégustation menu at $55 a head and it was awesome. Popular because it is the only restaurant of its kind in the vicinity. The share plates we had were very tasty. Like a local restaurant in the heart of town, great ambiance, relaxed and friendly. I wasn't in charge of ordering wine this evening, but was told that this was one of the most expansive and interesting lists of wine in London. The food and service was good too but not exceptional. Called Noble Rot, it was a throwback to screwball comedies that, in the wake of Belushi’s death, was never produced. I'm slightly jealous that a journalist got some time and money to have fun tasting 2001 Yquem and other Bordeaux, so I may be slightly subjective.

I ate here last night whilst travelling on London, having wanted to visit for months, I wasn’t disappointed! The share plates we had were very tasty.Slightly overrated. The food was utterly delicious, filling, tasty and a great selection. Glorious food - eel and rhubarb was fabulous.
