The R5 2600 ran at around 86FPS AVG, putting it about equal to or slightly better than the 1600 AF.We should start with a frequency chart before wasting our time on testing.
1080p gaming: Compared to the Ryzen 5 1600, the Core i5-7600 achieved 102% the performance in The Division, 135% the performance in Alien: Isolation, 103% the performance in Battlefield 1, 104% the performance in Ashes of the Singularity, 92% the performance in Civilization 6, 103% the performance in Doom, 121% the performance in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, 102% the performance in Overwatch, 105% the performance in Mafia 3, 94% the performance in F1 2016, and 105% the performance in Watch Dogs 2, and 118% the performance in Sniper Elite 4, for an average 1080p game performance of 107% relative to the Ryzen 5 1600. The 4.2GHz R5 2600 OC placed at 126FPS AVG, putting it about equal to the R5 1600 AF OC results and within test variance. The R5 1600 AF at 4.2GHz did 98FPS AVG, while the 3.9GHz 1600 got stuck at 94FPS AVG.

OC-vs-OC, the improvement in the 1600 AF is about still about 8.5% from AE to AF when overclocked.
Overclocking isn’t much different.Overclocking more or less confirms what we were told by AMD, which is that the 1600 AF is on 2nd-gen Ryzen, or Zen+ architecture, as we were able to hit 4.2GHz at 1.4V on the 1600 AF.
