We have reviews of the best places to see in Calgary. The walls are a bit thin so take some ear plugs as one morning an aussie guy decided to tell a girl all about his travels right outside our room door! The location is right by the Ctrain and right near 17th av which is great perfect. I had a great time and would recommend it to anyone, especially if you like meeting people and having a good time.We stayed for 2 nights in a double room.
Visit top-rated & must-see attractions. As a solo traveler one of the tough things about going into a new hostel is being able to make friends - I didn't have any issues at Wicked! The people, culture, proximity to nature, weather, job market, sports, family safety, night life, etc.
Especially the kitchen was a mess and there was also no sign of a free breakfast in the morning. I stayed at this hostel for 3 nights before I moved into my university accommodation. Plus free breakfast and free internet and phone calls, really appreciated it especially when the last place ripped us off ! And eventhough the staff was friendly and helpfull when I got there. The room needed a few hooks and somewhere to put our clothes as there werent any so we couldnt unpack at all.
You can't "dress for the weather", because the weather is always changing. And they do your laundry which was a great help!
In the dormroom no window could be openend.
I'd stay here again :)Because they were the cheapest one in town I stayed here a few nights.
The staff and owner were friendly and informative.
