Restart The Sims 3 and check to see if it runs better now. They won’t run in the house with this though. It also seems that EA has shortened the distance after which a Sim will start running to his target point. !They can’t do anything unless you are actively endangering a child (or neglecting them to the point of death). Hit "Browse...", then look for something like this "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3.exe" the target is the application "TS3.exe" The bug means that the Sim always run and it has nothing to do with traits or abilities, usually it starts when the play tag or if they are firefighters. Sims tend to get stuck in their walk styles. Click on the blue check mark at the bottom right to save your changes. Correct in that deleting just the log.xml the launcher works correctly - but - as soon as you play it rebuilds the file (minus all the accumulated specs it records) and then the subsequent start of the launcher is SOStuff again - won't close because it's in permanent uploading mode.And, using the launcher icon - it STILL will not close the launcher when you hit X to close it. I don't remember if that's a memory leak error or a divide by zero error. If you close it while offline - it closes without issue. Restart The Sims 3, and see if windowed mode works better for you. If others here also do the same thing - then perhaps there's a screenshot count "flag" that has toggled in an ini file or something.In testing the launcher just now - basically opening the launcher and closing it a few times, it gave me the upload process error. People who've played it on the PC with the same problem said to move them out and back in or something and it works for them. @AB_928Z I did see the messages that went out from Mage this morning—there were a number of threads on the subject—and we're all happy for the timely fix on EA's end.But the launcher and login problems are distinct. So if you switch to another household and read the newspaper you might read about half of them dying in fires and drowning and other weird ways.
